Brad is currently serving as Global Managing Director of IBM’s Energy and Utility Industry. He has overall responsibility for the the industry’s strategy, sales, consulting services, solution development, partnerships, operations and marketing. He is also responsible for IBM’s Global Green Horizon initiative focused on improving sustainability and environmental outcomes through cognitive technologies and consulting services. Prior to taking his current position Brad served as IBM’s Global Industry General Manager for Energy and Utilities and prior to that as Vice President of Energy and Utilities Sales and Solutions. Brad recently completed a six year assignment in Beijing, China and has been assigned to IBM’s New York Headquarter Offices.
Before joining IBM Brad served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. There he held positions in Strategy and Planning, Weapons Development and as Flight Crew member on the B-52. Brad’s formal education includes a BA in Political Science and a MBA in Finance, as well as extensive professional training while serving in the military.
Brad is a member of the IBM Growth and Transformation Team and the IBM Industry Academy. Brad is also the Co-Chair of the Smart Grid working group of the US-China Energy Cooperation Program. Brad has testified in front of the US Congress on Energy issues and has been featured in articles in Forbes, Business Week and numerous industry and business periodicals. Brad is also a frequent speaker and panelist at industry conferences and forums.
