Supervising Engineer of Ameren Illinois’ Technology Application Center, part of Ameren’s Smart Grid and System Integration Department. In that role, he is responsible for researching, evaluating, and validating the industry’s most innovative technologies to help keep Ameren on the leading edge of innovation. He is currently leading Ameren’s team to investigate a Microgrid design and implementation at the Technology Application Center (TAC) location. He also oversees Ameren’s research initiatives and collaborations with entities like the DOE, DOD, Universities, Startups and Suppliers.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Tamer is also the recipient of EPRI’s 2014 Technology Transfer Award.
