April coordinated Black & Veatch’s evaluation of Hawaiian Electric’s aggressive plan to achieve 100% renewable generation before 2045. The Black & Veatch team investigated the role of demand response and distributed energy resources in maximizing the use of renewable generation and pioneered strategies for agnostically valuing grid services needed to meet system response requirements in a high renewable future.
